Happy hunters

Happy hunters with the Spring Fieldcap, Agrocybe praecox

A quick walk down to our favourite spot yeilded a full collecting box in 10 mins. A bit of a surprise for this time of year but lots of woodchip mulch helps..

What we found..

Jelly Ear (Auricularia auricula-judae)

Spring fieldcap (Agrocybe praecox). Spores 9.4 x 6.4 um Qe = 1.5

Agrocybe rivulosa

Pleated inkcap (Parasola plicatilis). Spores were 11.6 x 8.1 um Q=1.4  (larger than leicocephala reported June 2013 with  9.6 x 7 microns, average Q=1.4)

Orange bonnet (Mycena acicula)

Conocybe sp (vexans?) Spores 9.7 x 6.4 Qe = 1.5

Agrocybe rivulosa. Can be found almost all year in the dene.
Agrocybe praecox. We have found this species before and not been able to ID it correctly. Very happy to get it this time.
Jelly Ear. This photo was taken a few weeks ago.
Flammulina velutipes. Found in Dec 2013 but not posted.
