Yellow Fieldcap, Bolbitius titubans

A quick walk this afternoon netted us some species we haven’t found this year..

First are these striking yellow fungi growing in leaf litter, wood chips.

Smell: faint mushroomy, indistinct.
Stem length: 4 – 5 cm
Stem diameter: 0.4cm
Gill attachment: TBC
Cap diameter: 1.7 cm
Cap colour: chrome yellow when young, later – paler and slightly striate at margins
Spore colour: TBC
